ei: State Department to be Questioned on Silence regarding American Detainees in Israel

Since coming back from Israel, it has been suggested to me by numerous individuals that I write a complaint letter to our State Department over the treatment I received while in Israel. When President Bush talks about protecting and respecting the lives of American citizens both here and abroad, I'd like to believe that as a naturalized citizen, that includes me also.

I went to Israel excited about the pending trip and came back traumatized at the treatment I received at the ends of the "only democracy in the Middle East."

It's been over 6 months since I've come back and I still go through bouts of traumatic stress recall from the experience. I couldn't believe that as an American citizen, whose tax dollars go to support the state of Israel, I could have been treated in such a manner throughout my travels there as if I was a second class citizen.

I do have a story to tell about my experience there and I have been encouraged by many to tell it. I just don't know how to present it without reliving the trauma.
